Besides writing, developing and editing Canandaigua Magazine, I also wrote the page posts. Facebook is another way to stay in touch and develop a loyal readership (even if it’s just through social media).
Web: Niche market pages
A region needs to keep ahead of its visitors’ interests and needs in travel and tourism. Among many things, it needs a website that works for everyone –whether they are from out of town or residents exploring their own “backyard.” VisitRochester identified 10+ niche markets to promote. I’ve helped come up with ideas, edited content and worked on creating updated/improved or new niche market web pages content.
VisitRochester’s CrossBorderShowcase Canadian campaign is all about enticing Canadians living in Ontario’s border near Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY to drive just 90 miles from the border into the Genesee Valley, Rochester, Central New York and Finger Lakes regions. Along with a radio program, PR/media, online advertising, social media, a 4-page print piece, and travel shows, there is also a corresponding web site. I write the web content for it, along with the print content.
I started the original social media for CrossBorder Showcase You can see it on Facebook.
Web: On line articles
I write for online magazines, as well. Check out the beautiful, chic Plum Deluxe. This is a feast for the eyes, mind and spirit. Once you start reading, you may not want to stop.
