Think about being the rest of the dog team: You’re running-your-heart-out, pulling god-knows how much weight through rough miles, trying to make your goal – and all you see is the butt end of the dog in front of you. Not a great view.

If you’re the lead dog, you see everything. The pines and the sun, the snow and the horizon. You can choose the right direction. You can see the problems ahead and avoid them. You cross the finish line first. Everybody else is just chasing along behind you. Following.

Creative businesses are “lead dogs.” 

They get the sales. They make smart moves. They’re not afraid to try something innovative. They never have to be at the wrong end of a…um… tail.
